풍이 Pseudotorynorrhina japonica (Hope, 1841)는 꽃무지과(Scarabaeidae: Cetoniinae)에 속하는 대형 딱정벌레로 한국, 중국 및 일본에 분포하며, 국내에서는 일반적으로 녹색의 금속광택을 띠는 것으로 알려져 있다. 본 종에서는 드물게 청색형(blue morph)을 포함한 다양한 체색 변이가 보고되어 있으나, 정확한 채집 정보와 표본(voucher specimen)을 수반한 국내 기록은 매우 제한적이다. 본 연구에서는 2026년 7월 17일 인천광역시 옹진군 굴업도에서 채집된 청색형 수컷 1개체를 보고하였다. 채집된 표본은 일반적인 P. japonica의 형태적 특징과 일치하였으나, 등면 전체에서 균일한 금속성 청색을 나타냈다. 본 논문은 채집 정보, 표본 정보 및 서식환경을 제시하며, 국내 풍이 청색형의 분포와 체색 변이 연구를 위한 기초자료를 제공한다.
Pseudotorynorrhina japonica (Hope, 1841) (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae: Cetoniinae) is a large flower chafer distributed in Korea, China, and Japan and is typically characterized by metallic green coloration. Although several color morphs, including a blue morph, have been reported in this species, voucher-based records accompanied by precise collection data remain scarce in Korea. Here, we report a single male blue morph collected on 17 July 2026 from Gureopdo Island, Ongjin-gun, Incheon Metropolitan City, Republic of Korea. The specimen agrees well with the diagnostic morphology of P. japonica but differs distinctly from the typical morph in possessing a uniformly metallic blue dorsal surface. Collection data, habitat information, and morphological notes are presented. This record provides baseline information for future studies on the geographic distribution and body color variation of P. japonica in Korea.
